Uncle John. Spent many a good time at back yard bar-b-ques where he cooked the best chicken ever. Also times on vacations, New years gatherings, and the family playing in the pool. So many good times. If we look at this through the eternal lens, and not the worldly lens, we will have peace. Uncle John knew this. And I still remember how he and Dad would joke that everyone knew Johnny Betts. As he made his way through the gate, I can just picture Uncle Rick and my Dad pointing, and saying, "Hey, it's Johnny Betts!" What a great life! I was blessed to be able to call him Uncle John.
