John Macko Obituary

MACKO
John, August 12, 1988 - June 11, 2015.
Born in Paterson, NJ at St. Joseph's Hospital. John Phillip Macko, was the type of person that made a positive impact on everyone with his personality and contagious smile. Whether it was family, friends, or acquaintances, John always had a way of lighting up a room. Loving son of predeceased Debra Lee Stanley, survived by grandparents Edward Stanley and Joan Bie, Aunt Diana Collins, Uncle Eddie, and Aunt Pam Stanley, Cousins Kristee, Lisa, and Nicole, man's best friend Dutch, siblings Charlie Fries, Kevin Fries, and Veronica Copp and husband Jon, girlfriend Rachael Dimick. John graduated from Fair Lawn High School in 2006 and worked as a dedicated and trusted head foreman. He was a multi-sport Varsity athlete who enjoyed playing street hockey, football, and was the captain of his lacrosse team. He will be sorely missed by his extended family and closest friends. He will be remembered for always going above and beyond; and most of all his loving, "handsome," and most importantly selfless demeanor.

It broke my heart when I heard what happened and I haven't seen you in years, you were always around the house smiling and laughing with my brother while I was growing up and I was the annoying little brother that wanted to fit in and be cool, it's crazy to think that I'm now 18 and you are no longer here. You will be greatly missed. R.I.P macko

Just to find out that you passed left me speechless. Nicholas happened to tell me and we cannot express the grief of losing one of his friends at a very young age. To John's family, please accept our deepest sympathies. Our prayers are with the entire family/friends during this difficult time.
