John "Mack" McLafferty

John P. McLafferty "Mack", 82, of Norwood, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018. Mack was a proud United States Marine. He served 20 years in the Corps, did two tours in Vietnam and rose to Staff Sargent before retiring. He then worked at John J. Demarest Supply as a security guard for 27 years. He also belonged to the Marine Corps League and the Norwood American Legion.

Mack is survived by his brother James and his wife Marilyn of Red Hook, NY and sister Margaret Lowe and her husband Stanley of Harrington Park. He is also the beloved uncle of four nephews, two nieces, two great-nephews and two great-nieces.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Victories RC Church, Harrington Park. His cremains will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours are Monday 4-7 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mack's memory may be made to the Marine Corps League, www.mclnational.org.
