I smile as I scribe this note. Joe made a life's work of assuring that we understood that we were special and loved. He treasured our successes and properly scolded us when he didn't hear from us frequently enough. Dinners in Manhattan are fondly recalled. As with my wife Nancy I will forever miss you Joe. You remain larger than life in my heart and mind. A true great friend. We hope we loved you as much in return as you did us.

My son, Tim, said it best upon hearing of Joe's passing, "The world lost a great man today." Somehow the word "great" does not begin to adequately describe Joe. My family and I have so many wonderful memories of Joe, it is truly hard to remember them all. However, learning the fine art of playing "spoons" and holding hands while watching Joe crank up his father's generator after Thanksgiving dinner with the entire Ceva family must top the list of cherished events. Joe certainly knew how to live life to the fullest. Spending time with this most classy man was always an adventure, always heart warming, always the most special occasion. Love you forever, my dear friend. Miss you for an eternity....and more.

I am so sad to hear about Joe's passing. He was so nice and cheerful, even during tough times. I really enjoyed my chats with him, and his words of wisdom. I will miss those chats dearly. Rest in Peace Joe Ceva. I will miss you.
