There are no words to express the sadness and loss of losing Joe Fuda. My Uncle Joe was a quiet, dignified, smart, good-hearted man who adored his family. It’s very rare to find all these qualities in one person but Uncle Joe was indeed one of a kind. I have so many wonderful and loving memories of him as a child and as an adult and throughout all the years, he has never changed. He was “The Elegant Man”. I am so grateful that the opportunity arose to see him at a family party in early 2003. I remember telling my mom I wanted to see him for so many reasons and I take comfort in the fact that I was able to tell him I love him. He will always be in my prayers. My sincere condolences to Aunt Ida, to all Uncle Joe and Aunt Ida’s wonderful children and grandchildren.

Your loving niece,

Marilyn Fuda, Connecticut

Joe Fuda has set an admirable precedent that we can all aspire to. The consummate family man and gentleman, he was always the epitome of grace, class, and style. My grandfather has left me with enough warm memories to last a lifetime.

Nonno, I love you and you will be in my heart, thoughts, and prayers forever.

Love,

Your granddaughter,

Ida

I met my father-in-law in 1977 when my boyfriend Frank drove me to his home to meet his parents. There were in the kitchen having their after dinner espresso.

We sat down at the kitchen table and Mrs. Fuda offered me a cup. As she was pouring it we heard the entrance door opening and Mr. Fuda looked at Mrs. Fuda and said, "U figniolo (little boy) is home".

I looked towards the stairs and expected to see a little 13 year old kid. Instead, much to my surprise, a 6 ft tall young man named Anthony came to greet me. I thought it was cute that regardless of how tall he was, that was his little boy. That was my first great impression of my father-in-law to be, who soon after became known as "Pop" to me.

Pop came from Calabria, Italy, one hour away from the town where I was born. We had a lot in common and our similar backgrounds made it easy for us to get along with each other.

Pop was an ambitious, hard-working, and dedicated man. He had a great personality and always put family values first. Respecting him was easy because of his kindness towards everyone.

I consider myself lucky to have had him around for twenty-five years, not just as my father-in-law, but as "Pop".

Pop you will always be in my prayers.

Love,

Your daughter-in-law,

Melina

Joe Fuda uomo cortese

Dio e'grande guarda tutti,

Prega per la famiglia che ha un grande lutto.

We will always remember our Pop as one of the most loveable, generous, and kind-hearted men that walked on this earth. He was a terrific grandfather to our children. We loved getting together on holidays, occasions, or just a simple visit. The best time for all of us was when we would celebrate his birthday. The whole family would take him out to dinner and it was a great sight to see Pop at the head of the table looking at his children and grandchildren, which extended three full tables. I know that those were the happiest days for Pop and us all. Pop was admired and respected by many; friends, associates, contractors, tile men, sales reps from Italy, and last but not least, his family. He was an icon in the tile industry after all he was "The Tile King". But to us he was a wonderful, loving, and caring father and grandfather.

Pop you will always be in our hearts and we miss you already.

Love Always,

Frank & Melina

He was a good man and love by everyone. He always made sure that his friends and love ones are taken cared of. One don't need to go to far, the name FUDA speaks for itself and just like himself Joseph Fuda is a legacy of his own. We love you and you will always be in our hearts to cherish.

When I was a little girl I always remember driving down to see my Uncle Joe with my dad on many weekends. Everytime he saw us he had a big smile and a table full of food prepared for us. His home was our home and we always felt welcomed. Our weekends were filled with good times with Uncle Joe and all our other relatives in New Jersey. Uncle Joe will be truly missed, and my caring thoughts at this time of tremendous sorrow are with my Aunt Ida, Isabell, Frankie, Yvonna, Mirella, and Tony.I love you, your cousin , Teresa in Connecticut
