Kathryn SHAPIRO Obituary

SHAPIRO Kathryn "Kay" Oesmann, 73, of The Villages, Freehold, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, June 30th at home. Kay was born in Boston and was raised in Lexington, Massachusetts, and Leonia, NJ. She lived in Palisades Park before moving to The Villages in 1981. She was a graduate of Leonia High School and Brookdale Community College. Kay retired from the Division of Developmental Disabilities, Freehold. Prior to that, she worked as the Court Clerk in Palisades Park. She was member of the Women of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Freehold, NJ.Kay was predeceased by her first husband, George Oesmann and her second husband, Emanuel Shapiro. She is survived by a son, John Oesmann and his wife, Carrie, of Mt. Olive Twp., NJ; two daughters, Cathy Layden and her husband, Rick, of Fremont, CA , and Nancy Oesmann of Hilton Head, SC; a stepdaughter, Judi Marraccini and her husband, Charles, and four grandchildren, Michele, Jackie, Tracy and Kelsey. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, NJ, on Friday, July 2, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service at 10 AM on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Brookside Cemetery, Englewood, NJ. Interment will follow. For those who desire memorial contributions in memory Kay may be made to the Sarcoma Foundation of America, 9884 Main Street, Damascus, MD 20872 and would be appreciated.
