Leonard Barker Obituary
Leonard, 94, of Egg Harbor Township, formerly of Paramus, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014.
Before retiring Leonard worked as an Electrical Inspector for the City of Hackensack. He was a member of Paramus Elks Lodge #2001 and the International Association of Electrical Inspectors. Leonard was a Navy veteran who served our country proudly during World War II.
Cherished husband of the late June E. Barker (nee Lissemore). Beloved father of Gayle Barber and her husband Gary and Randi MacDowell and her husband Wayne. Loving grandfather of Christopher, Andrew, Scott and Cassandra and great-grandfather of Ty and Allie. His devoted caregiver for the last year and a half Wilma Anderson.
Family will receive friends on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 11 AM-12 PM at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus. Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations in Leonard's memory to Ty's Eyes, P.O. Box 290, West Milford, NJ 07480.
