Leonard Knapp Obituary

KNAPPLeonard, born in Fair Lawn, NJ on April 13, 1913, passed away in Braden-ton, FL on August 28, 2007, at the age of 94. Services will be private. He retired as the superintendent of Public Works for borough of Fair Lawn, NJ and was the former Chief of the Fair Lawn Fire Department. After retiring, he relocated to Bradenton, FL and was very active in the Palma Sola Community Church serving on many of their boards. He is survived by his son Leonard Knapp Jr. of Chester, NY, brothers Frank (Florence) of Crossville, TN and Charles of Jacksonville, FL, sister Viola Johnson of Bradenton, FL; three grandchildren: David (Lenore) Knapp of Chester, NY, Karen (Tim) Heuston of Midland, MI, and Cheryl (Frank) DeStefano of Port Jervis, NY; and four great-grandchildren: Taylor, David, Paul and John. He was predeceased by his sister Florence. Memorial donations may be made in Leonard Knapp's name to the Palma Sola Community Church.
