Mattie B. McElroy

Mattie B. McElroy, 82, a Giles County native and a former employee of the Giles County Hospital died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at Maury Regional Hospital. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon Wednesday at Dixon Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The funeral will follow with the Rev. Fitzgerald Gilbert being the eulogist.Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.Survivors include three sons, Jerry McElroy, James McElroy, and William McElroy and wife Margaret, all of Pulaski, Tenn.; two daughters, Georgia Jones of Pulaski, and Ella M. Harris of Athens; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Crook and Margie McElroy; one sister-in-law, Ella Marie Garrett of Louisville, Ky.; two brothers, Robert Marsh and wife Sadie, and Joe Marsh, all of Pulaski.
