BUSI Lucy Caruso, 96, of Brick, NJ and formerly of Leisure Village, Lakewood and Fort Lee, passed away peacefully at Meridian Nursing and Rehab in Brick.Born in New York City, Lucy was a longtime resident of Fort Lee before coming to Lakewood in 1969. Mrs. Busi was employed as a seamstress and professional dressmaker in Union City. Lucy was a devoted wife and loving sister. Although, Lucy had no children, she treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She was truly adored and will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Busi, her parents, Frank and Maria Silluzio Caruso, her brothers, William, Anthony and Vincent Caruso and her sisters, Jean Rubino and Marie DiFilippi. She is survived by devoted nieces and nephews, Rosalie and Al Dompieri, William and Patricia Caruso, Frank and Alice Caruso, Angela Campo Vincent and Paula Caruso, Salvatore and Christine DiFilippi, Donna and Richard Plattel, Frank DiFilippi and her great nieces and nephews, Alfred III and Jaci Dompieri and, Maria and Brant Thompson, Gina Campo, Christine Caruso, B.J. Caruso, Richard and Jennifer Plattel, Gino, Nicholas, Matthew and Vincent Caruso.Visiting Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the O'Brien Funeral Home 505 Burnt Tavern Rd. Brick, NJ, with Mass immediately following at St. Martha's Church in Point Pleasant, NJ at 11 AM. Entombment will then follow at Ocean County Memorial Park Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl.
