Scovzen and her adored grandchildren Carla Montecchi and Mark W. Scovzen. In 1978 Madeline married the late Walter P. Spath. Walter passed away in 1997. With that union she became the cherished stepmother to MaryAnn Salzano Maguire and Patricia Verge and their spouses. She also added four more grandchildren and ten great grandchildren to her family. Madeline and Carl were the proprietors of Spath's Delicatessen in Union City for many years. Madeline also was employed by Kmart's Home Office in North Bergen NJ as a manager of their EDP Department.
