Marion Joan Bordogna

Fair Lawn - Marion Joan Bordogna of Fair Lawn passed away on May 13, 2021at the age of 99. Marion was born on May 8, 1922 to Josephine and Carmine Matarazzo. She graduated from Emerson High School in Union City, New Jersey and married Humbert J. Bordogna on December 30, 1945. They soon moved to Fair Lawn where she raised her family. Later, Marion went on to earn her credentials as a Certified Nursery School Teacher from William Paterson University. Prior to retiring, she was the head teacher at Helen Alexander's Nursery School in Fair Lawn. She was a devoted parishioner of Saint Anne's Church and a member of the Senior Citizen Center of Fair Lawn. She loved all types of crafts, travel, shopping and Broadway shows.

Marion was the devoted daughter of the late Josephine and Carmine Matarazzo; the loving wife of the late Humbert Bordogna; the dearest sister of Leonard Matarazzo and his wife Kay; beloved mother to Paul and his wife Fay, Gary and his wife Barbie, and Alan and his wife Joelle; a wonderful grandmother to Bill and his wife Rachael, Scott and his wife Courtney, Martha, Allison, Katharine and Amanda, and great-grandmother to Beatrice, Malcolm and Harriet.

A private funeral for the immediate family will be held at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, vpfairlawn.com and be completed graveside at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
