Marshall Clapp Obituary

CLAPP
Dr. Marshall Wadsworth, of Ridgewood, NJ died at home surrounded by his family on January 16, 2013. He was 77 years old. He served in the Navy for four years and trained as a mine warfare specialist. He was stationed in Yokosuka Naval Base, Japan for two years.
He is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson School of Dentistry and he practiced general dentistry in Wyckoff, NJ for 34 years.
He loved deer hunting and deep sea fishing. He excelled at tying wet and dry flies and fine wood working. His family were the recipients of his hand crafted furniture and beautifully tied flies. One of his greatest joys in later life was to take his children and grandchildren fishing.
He was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Ridgewood, NJ where he served as usher and participated regularly in parish work days.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Webster Clapp, his son Jeffrey Clapp of Red Bank, NJ and daughter Jennifer Liljegren of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Daisy and Hanna Liljegren and Cris Perez, his daughter-in-law, Donna Clapp and son-in-law, Erik Liljegren. He leaves a twin brother, Graeme Clapp of Easton, Md. and a younger brother, Robert Clapp of Flemington, NJ.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was a person of honor and integrity.
The funeral service will be at St. Elizabeth's Church in Ridgewood, NJ on Saturday, February 2 at 10 AM followed by an interment in the Memorial Garden.
