Maxine Elster Obituary

ELSTER Maxine L., age 83 died peacefully at home in Santa Rosa, CA on October 21. Dear wife of Samuel K. Elster, MD; mother of Jim, Charles and Amy and Pat; Bubbie to Tamar, Nick and Aiden and Aunt Mickey to many. Maxine was a longtime resident of Tenafly, NJ, a member of Temple Sinai and active in American Field Service and Planned Parenthood. A Graveside service will be held Friday, October 26th, 2007 at 11 AM at Beth El Cemetery 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ. The family will receive friends at 57 Blish Place, Dumont on Friday following the service and Saturday, Oct. 27th 11 AM-2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Dr. Amy and James Elster Research Fund, Mt. Sinai Hospital, One Gustave Levy Place, NY 10029 or the American Cancer Society, 1451 Guerneville Rd. Ste. 202 Santa Rosa, CA 95403.

Thanksgiving and Pesach always meant happy times spent with Bubbie and Zeide. Both were such special people and both are sadly missed.
