Michael GRIMES Obituary
Michael, Patrick, age 40, of Paramus, formerly of Leonia and Dumont on Saturday August 1, 2015. Born in Weehawken he was a Foreman for T.E.I Group of New York City. Beloved husband of Chrissie Grimes (nee: Viccaro). Devoted father of Mikey Grimes and Morgan Duffy. Cherished son of Julia Holtje (nee: Dempsey) and her husband the late Ned Holtje. Dear step brother of Danielle Peschler. Adored son-in-law of James and Evelyn Viccaro. He will be missed by many sisters-in-laws and brother-in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mike was a loving, wonderful father, husband, cherished family member, and friend. He truly enjoyed sharing his love of motorcycles, wrestling, and fishing with all those around him. His hard work, strength, courage, and love will never be forgotten. The family will receive their friends on Wednesday 3 - 7 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". All are asked to assemble Thursday at 9:30 AM for the celebration of his funeral mass in St. Peter's Church (Riveredge) interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park. Rest In Peace Mike. He was my first mechanic at Mainco when I joined the company in 2001 in Co-Op City Bronx NY. He asked for a "spanner head" screwdriver and I must have handed him every screwdriver from his tool box except a "spanner head"!! He was just made a mechanic and we were modernizing his first elevator as a mechanic. I was a green helper with zero experience in the elevator industry. He wasn't happy and picked up his tool box and tossed it across the room! BUT he was a great teacher and he showed me the ropes. We brought the car in on time and passed inspection first time tested!! We became friends and went to the band Fuel concert in 2001. I went on to become an elevator consultant and I owe part of my success to Mike. I was injured and left the industry and just found out recently that Mike had passed away. I am so sorry for your loss and I send my belated condolences to his entire family. I just thought his kids should know that story because their dad is a great guy and always will be, whether here or in Heaven. Sincerely, Jason Z.
