Michael Joyce Obituary

JOYCE Michael J., passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with ALS and Parkinson's disease on March 28, 2011. A Native of Grange, Tuam; Co. Galway Ireland. Mr. Joyce raised his family in Bogota before moving to River Edge. He is survived by his devoted wife Mary Anne ( nee White). Cherished father of Anne Marie Delesandro, Della and her husband James F. Carroll, Michael and his wife Laura, Patrick and his wife Heather, and John Joyce. Dear brother of Thomas, Patrick, Stephen Nora, and Juliet. He is pre deceased by his brothers and sisters: Margaret, Mae, John, Kathleen, Delia, and Peter. Mr. Joyce is also survived by his brother in law Joseph White and his late wife Kathleen. Adored grand father of Shannon, Caitlin, Brett, Meaghan, Alie, A.J. , Kelsey, Makayla, and Tony. Mr. Joyce was the past manager of Gaelic Football at Both St Joseph and The Good Sheppard. He was also a member of the Bergen Irish Association. Before retiring he worked The New York Times Newspaper. Family will receive friends at The Beaugard Funeral Home 869 Kinderkamack Rd., River Edge NJ Wednesday 2-5, 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Thursday 10:30 AM at St Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in River Edge. Interment is at St Anthony Cemetery in Nanuet, NY. In lieu of floral tributes donations in Michael's memory are request to St Jude's Children's Hospital or The River Edge Vol. Ambulance Corps. (Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.)
