Michael Luongo Obituary
Michael, 87, of Paramus, formerly of West New York, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 12, 2015. Before retiring Michael owned Michael's Home Improvements.
Michael lived his life always trying to make his family happy. He was always quick with a joke and was the life of the party. His most treasured memories are those he spent with his children and grandchildren. He was a hard working and devoted husband and father.
Cherished husband of 55 years to Lucrezia (nee Donato). Beloved father of Joseph Michael Luongo of CA, Amelia Luongo of Paramus, Filomena Bonura and her husband Frank of Mahwah and David Luongo and his wife Linda of Maywood. Devoted grandfather of Christopher, Selena, Michael and Aidan.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home followed by an 11 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church, 234 North Farview Avenue, Paramus. Entombment Garden of Memories, Township of Washington.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Michael's memory may be made to American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.

Today marks 6 months since we heard the terrible news. It all seems so unreal. I wish you were still here with us, but I know it can't be. The days went by when I could have called you or sat and talked to you, but it's too bad this is the only way you can see me now. For that, I'm sorry. I can only hope you are happy where you are and like what you see when you look down on upon us. Rest in peace my loving father and know how much you are loved and missed.

Dad, this obituary makes everything more permanent. Up until now it's all been a bad dream. We have all been in shock these last few days. We can't believe you're gone. You have always been such a positive, uplifting spirit that had such a zest for life. You always wanted the best for me, and you always wanted me to have fun and be happy. There was so much you still wanted to do and so much I wish we could have done. I lknow you will always be with me wherever I go and whatever I do. Even though I wish you were still here with us, it's comforting to know you are now free and enjoying being reunited with your mother and family in Heaven. Love you,forever!
