Michael Mossucco

Michael Mossucco, 77, of Nutley died on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011 at his home.

Born in Newark, he lived in Bloomfield before coming to Nutley in 1981. He was a maintenance man at Hoffmann LaRoche in Nutley before retiring and was previously employed as a steel worker for 25 years with U.S. Steel. He was also an usher at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Nutley for many years.

Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Mafalda (Palumba) Mossucco; his brothers Anthony and Richard Mossucco and his sister Bridget Mossucco; he is survived by his wife Rae (Cavallo); his son Michael Jr. and his fiancée Amira Stevenson; his daughter Angel M. Heller and her husband Eric and his grandchildren, Samantha Mirae and Ursula Belana Heller. He also leaves his brother Frank Mossucco and his wife Ann; his sisters Carmella Mossucco and Connie De Vito; his sister-in-law Adele Mossucco and brother-in-law Tony Cavallo.

Funeral was to be from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, swbrownandson.com, 267 Centre St. in Nutley on Tuesday, Jan. 3. A funeral Mass was to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Nutley followed by entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visiting was to be at the funeral home on Monday, Jan. 2.
