Nicholas Polifroni Obituary

POLIFRONI
Nicholas R., 83, of Tobyhanna, passed away Wednesday May 30, 2012 at the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.
Born in Englewood, N.J. on March 14, 1929 he was a son to the late Rocco and Mary (Mucheriro) Polifroni and graduated from Union Hill High School, in Union City, N.J. and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, N.J; He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served his county in the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge, Nick was employed as a Mechanical Engineer for Nabisco, Fair Lawn, N.J. retiring in 1989.
He loved animals, especially his dogs and cats and took great joy in the game of Golf. Nick's favorite pastime was watching TV.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his loving wife of 51 years Lillian G. Albrecht Polifroni who passed away on December 12, 2001
Surviving are son: Richard Polifoni and his wife Billie of Tobyhanna; and daughter Jackie Kelaher and her husband Thomas of Ridgefield Park, N.J; grandchildren Jennifer Raven and her husband Jarred, and Katie Kelaher; great-grandchildren Mattingly and Charlie Reaven; and a sister Grace Marini of Palisades Park, NJ.
Private funeral services will be held in the chapel mausoleum at Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to AWSOM, Godfrey Ridge Drive, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.

I am so sorry for your loss. Nick and I worked together for many years at Nabisco. I used to call Nick every year around Thanksgiving to give him updates and just to chat. I will miss him. He was good people.
