Patricia Buck Obituary

Patricia Lynn Buck

South Abington Twp., PA - BUCK, Patricia Lynn of South Abington Twp., PA, formerly of Northvale, NJ, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Villa Marie Claire Hospice in Saddle River, NJ. Patty was the beloved mother of Robert, Brian, and Darren Byrnes and Carolyn DiRese and her husband Jason. She was the devoted and adored grandmother "G" to Dylan, Ava, and Ethan DiRese. Born in Brooklyn, NY on April 21, 1949 to Patricia J Buck and the late Eugene Buck, Sr., she was the sister of Jacquie and Jim Verano, Kathleen and Steve Ocean, and Gene and Alicia Buck. In addition, she is survived by Robert J. Byrnes, father of her children, and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. Patty graduated from Somers H.S., Somers, NY and attended Brooklyn College, Bergen Community College and Manhattan College. She was recently employed at Coginzant (TMG) Health Solution, Jessup, PA. Patty's greatest joy came from her children, grandchildren and extended family. She led a blessed spiritual life as an active member of the Lay Carmelites, and through other countless ways in service to others. Her trademark beautiful smile and joyous generous heart was testimony to the loving special person she was. While she asked for little, she gave so much! She will remain close in our hearts always. Friends and family are welcome to call on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 3-7pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd, Westwood, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Patricia's life and faith will be held at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church in Park Ridge, NJ on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11am with private cremation to follow. In addition, a Mass of Remembrance will be held in her parish, Our Lady of the Snows, 301 S.State St.,Clarks Summit, PA on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Patty's honor to Unbound, an international nonprofit founded by lay Catholics. Through Unbound, Patty supported specific children living in poverty in an effort to make their lives better.

Jacquie, Kathleen and Gene I am so sorry for your loss of Patty. Our Dads worked together for the phone company and I remember the fun times we all shared together years ago in Mattituck, NY. Give your Mom a hug from all of the Bascombs. - Judy Bascomb Serkes

Patty always had a beautiful smile and always knew your name and asked how you were doing. There was never a time I saw her when she didn't radiate kindness to everyone around her.
She made more of a difference to people than she'll ever know.

I worked with Patty for 2 years at TMG. She honestly was the nicest person I've ever known. Always positive and caring. Although I haven't spoken to her in a few years I thought of her often and was grateful for her friendship while I was working there. She will be missed.
