CAPPONI - Peter M., 78, of Rockledge, FL, a retired police officer died July 4, 2002, Thursday at his residence. Mr. Capponi was born in Clifton, NJ. He came to Brevard County, FL, in 1987 from his birthplace. He worked as an officer in Clifton for over 27 years. He was a WW II Coast Guard Veteran and a member of Amvets; American Legion; he was a charter member of Athneia Veterans Post; life member D.A.V. and the Police Benevolence Assn #36; St. Mary's Catholic Church Rockledge, FL. Survivors, wife, Beverly; sons, Thomas and Peter, both of Rockledge; daughter, Denise Moore, Clifton, NJ; sister, Margaret Wiess, Wisconsin; two grandchildren; he was predeceased by his son Michael Capponi. Funeral services were held Monday, July 8, 2 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rockledge, FL. Florida Memorial Funeral Home, 5950 S. US Hwy 1, Rockledge, FL 32955 was in charge.
