Peter Levy Obituary
Peter Kent, age 58, of Oakland, passed away on Saturday, October 1st, 2016. Peter was born in Hackensack and grew up in Montvale before moving to Oakland 2 years ago. Peter was a Computer Programmer for Alliance Shippers in Englewood Cliffs, NJ for 10 years. He was a self-professed computer nerd, writer, avid reader, film buff, lover of cats, art and he sang in the choir at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, his father, Leonard, and his brothers Larry, and his wife Maureen and Eric and his wife, Karen. He was predeceased by his mother, Madelyn Levy, in 2011. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 15th at 3pm at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, NJ 07417. Donations in Peter's memory can be made to the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Pl., Ridgewood, NJ 07450 or Shadow Cat Rescue, c/o Melissa Ronalds, 1730 Carroll St., Apt. 12A, Brooklyn, NY, 11213 or the American Civil Liberties Union, 125 Broad St., 18th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
