Ricky Dotson Obituary

Funeral for Ricky Douglas Dotson, 40, formerly of Decatur, will be Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Lavanul Sherrell officiating.
Burial will be in Cheatam Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Dotson died Sunday, April 17, 2005, at his sister’s residence. He was born July 6, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Sam and Jeanette Dotson. He was a truck driver and mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Melissa Callaway.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Dotson; son, Ricky Shane Douglas Dotson of Decatur; stepson, Shane Sammons (Leslie) of Clanton; stepgrandchildren, Christine and Joseph Sammons of Clanton; brothers, Doyle Dotson of Boonesville, Miss., and Shane Dotson of Decatur; four sisters, Janie George, Katie Parker and Cindy Morgan, all of Moulton, and Ethel Dotson of Tanner; 19 nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews.

My prayers go out to your family, and especially to Ricky Shane Dodson, for he was a son you never ever got to know and has grown up to be one of the finest young man I have ever had the priviledge of seeing grow up into that man, and Thanks to his Mother for the Love and support she gave to him.My God be with your family.
