Philip Rottini Obituary

Philip "Buddy" Rottini

Rottini, Philip "Buddy", 59, lost his battle to COVID-19 on March 27, 2021. He left behind his children Joanna Rottini, Samantha and Frank Jackson and his granddaughter Brooke. Also surviving, girlfriend Renee and her sons Hunter, Jake and Jesse. His siblings Barbara, Al, Lauren and deceased Janet. He was Uncle Bud to many nieces, nephews and many others that had the good fortune of meeting him.

He was a lover of golf, fishing, bird watching, the country house, Amazon purchases, all grilled meats and especially loved being "Papa B" to Brooke and Bria. He was an avid and enthusiastic Wood-Ridge Lions club member, serving as past President and Treasurer. He also was a Melvin Jones Fellowship recipient. Bud is reunited with his deceased wife, Donna Rottini, who is now yelling at him for not giving her enough alone time. Bud is at rest and finally done eating. Funeral Service Wednesday 10:30AM at Kohler Funeral Home 280 Hackensack St. Wood-Ridge. Visitation Tuesday 4-8PM. Cremation private. Due to Covid-19 the family request that only 25 visitors be allowed in the funeral home at one time for safety.

Bud was a great man. No matter what, his smile lit every room he entered. But we can not be sad. He wouldn't want us to be. I met Bud in a parking lot where my mom introduced me. He will never be forgotten, and he will always be missed. I made a promise to myself to kiss his urn every night. His soul is forever at peace. Our job is to move forward as we watch the moon. Think of him as he fishes for stars. He's under the care of the big man upstairs. While he may not be with us in person, he will always have a chair at the table. Rest easy, old pal, I love you.

News of his passing is just heartbreaking...Buddy was the brother of one of my best friends from college - I have such vivid and fun memories of Buddy, Lauren and the rest of the Rottini family from that time of our lives. They took very good care of me, as my hometown was far from school. The obituary is so well written and a fitting, unsentimental tribute to a guy I will always remember as authentic, friendly, clever and full of fun - like the rest of the Rottini clan. Sending love and peace, from an old friend...

I knew Buddy from town and he was always a friendly, down to earth kind of guy. Sorry to hear of your passing and I know you will be re-united with your lovely wife. Rest In Peace, my friend.

As a kid, you were just the most caring and kindest I ever met. You only got better with age, loved by so many whose lives were better just for having known you. Rest In Peace Buddy in the loving arms of Donna.

Buddy was truly the kindest man and best landlord I could have asked for. My deepest sympathy to all who loved him. To say my heart hurts is an understatement.
