Raymond Pompieri Obituary

POMPIERI
Raymond, 93, originally from Brooklyn NY and a longtime resident of Ridgefield Park NJ, died February 7, 2012.
Raymond was a highly decorated World War II veteran. He retired from Met life Insurance company in 1982, Raymond was also a very active member of the Ridgefield Park Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
He is survived by his beloved wife Rose (Zupo), devoted children, Raymond J. Pompieri and his wife Judy, daughter, Elaine Pompieri, his loving grandchildren Stefanie Castellucci, Amy Bologna "Beshara" and his cherished great-grandchildren Aiden and Matthew Castellucci.
Service will be conducted at Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home Friday, 11 AM. Funeral with military honors will be held Friday, at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Washington Township at 12:30. Visitation at Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home, Friday 9-11 AM.
In lieu of flowers the family will appreciate donations to the Veterans Home of Paramus or The Hospice of New Jersey.

Sincerest condodolences to the Pompieri family. Ray was such a fixture down the RPVAC. I have so many fond memoires of Ray and Rose. We looked up to them and loved them like family.
