Robert Glynn Obituary

GLYNN - Robert Donovan, 91, formerly of Waldwick, NJ, died Tuesday, August 10, 2004. He was born on June 1, 1913 in Weehawkn, NJ to Francis J. and Agnes L. Glynn. Reared in Chester, NY, he attended and graduated from St. Columba Elementary School there, Garr Institute (St. John's High School) in Goshen, NY and Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ (1934). He married Virginia Villamil of Florida, NY on April 14, 1941, who preceded him in death on October 31, 1992. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Merchant Marines both stateside in San Franciso, as well as in the Pacific. He worked for New York Life out of Ridgewood, NJ. He and his family were members of St. Luke Catholic Church for over 45 years. During his retirement years, he volunteered his time with the West Bergen Mental Healthcare Organization and belonged to the Lion's Club of Waldwick. Surviving are three sons; Robert D., Jr. of Walnut Creek, CA, Thomas V. of Riverside, CT, F. Joseph of Boulder, CO and Stephen V. of Andover, CT; three daughters, Mary Glynn Auer of Cincinnati, Anne Glynn Mackoul of Princeton, and Grace M. Brockel of Wyckoff, nineteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mass will be said Friday at 10 AM at St. Luke Church, with burial in st. Luke Cemetery, Ho-Ho-Kus. Visiting will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood.
