Salvatore Amaranto Obituary
Rochelle Park - Salvatore Amaranto, of Rochelle Park passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the age of 87, born in Petilia, Policastro Italy on March 2, 1934, he came to the United States in 1966. Prior to retiring he worked in the Maintenance department for the Hackensack Board of Education for many years. Devoted son of the late Francesco Amaranto and Teresina Felice Amaranto. Beloved husband to Rina Berardi Amaranto for 63 years. Loving father to Frank Amaranto and his wife Nancy of Asheville, NC, Teresa Ochman and her husband Stephen of Hackensack, Jay Amaranto of Dacula, GA, Carmen Amaranto of Hackensack and Lori Nino and her husband Mike of Rochelle Park. Cherished grandfather to 11 grandchildren and great-grandfather of five. Cherished brother to Rosa, Michele, Francesco, Giovanni, Maria and Adelina Amaranto. Salvatore is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be held 10:00 AM, on Friday, April 2, 2021, at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home for visitation.
