Samuel Zacco Obituary
Waldwick - Samuel R. Zacco, 70, of Waldwick, New Jersey passed peacefully on January 5, 2019. Sam proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. during the Vietnam War. After he was employed by the U.S. Post Office in Midland Park, N.J. from where he retired. During his free time, he enjoyed boating and fishing, mostly at the St. Lawrence River where he frequently took children of family and friends. Also enjoyed vacationing didn't much matter where. He often spoke fondly of his days coaching baseball in Midland Park and the boys he met and to this day the men he keeps in contact with. Sam had a big generous heart and soul and will be missed by the many lives he touched.
Sam was predeceased by his parents Samuel Zacco and Myra Zacco (nee Berry). He is survived by his sisters Sandra Zacco and Kathleen Zacco, nephews William Daly and Liam Mateo-Daly, his beloved family and friends. Donations in his memory may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars Waldwick, N.J. or St. Jude.

Many happy times spent with Sam. Some of my best vacations were with Sam to Nova Scotia and the Grand Tetons/Yellowstone/Black Hills. Fishing trips to various places in Canada and NYS were memorable also. A generous and kind man and a Vietnam Veteran (USMC)! RIP buddy. I will always remember you.

I am so sad to just be finding out about Sam's passing. My father passed 5 months ago and Sam made sure to come say goodbye to his long time friend. I grew up with the whole Zacco clan and these are memories I will forever cherish. It was good to see Sammy when my Dad passed away. He, even through his pain, still managed to smile that squinty Sam smile and hugged me one last time. Sam, you're with all of your family and friends that have gone on before you now. You will be greatly missed down here, but you're Home now. Say hi to my Dad please ❤

So sorry to hear of Sammy's passing. Sammy was one of my dad's best friends. My whole family knew and loved Sammy. I have many fond memories of him from when I was a child; many bbq's and trips. Now he is reunited with my dad, uncles and grandfather. May he rest in peace.

My condolences to Sam's family. A wonderful man with a big personality. It seems like I have always known Sam. But I saw him the most when I did the shipping for work in Midland Park. I think I drove him a little crazy at times. But he would smile and shake his head. You will be missed. RIP Sam
