Stephanie (Marszalek) Rieger

Stephanie (Marszalek) Rieger, 97, of Maywood, NJ formerly of Orlando, FL passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Queen of Peace Church and volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader both in Maywood. Stephanie enjoyed crafts and gardening.

During World War II, she was a local Rosie the Riveter helping to build planes at the Bendix Corporation.

Beloved wife of the late Kurt Rieger. Loving and devoted mother of Kurt Rieger and wife Gay and Holly Samuel and husband Charles. Cherished grandmother of Shane Rieger and wife Michele, Kristel Schmidt and husband John, Jennifer Hoffman and husband Chandel and Johnathan Samuel and Jennifer Savitsky. Adored great-grandmother of Liberty, Ryan, Hailey, Chase, Cole and Blake. Dear sister of the late Sophie Kassay and Joseph and Michael Marszalek.

A cryptside service is planned for Wednesday, June 21, 2017, 11 AM at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ. Arrangements are being handled by Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home in Fair Lawn, 201-797-3500, www.vpfairlawn.com
