ADAMOWICZ
Stephen, 73, of Paramus, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015. Before retiring Stephen worked for PSE&G for over 40 years. He was a Member of Paramus Fire Company #3, American Legion Post #170 in Rochelle Park and a Hamm Radio Operator with the call letters K2SW. Stephen was a Navy veteran who served our country proudly the during Vietnam War.
Cherished husband of Patricia (nee Nelson). Beloved father of Jon Adamowicz and his wife Michelle of Ridgefield Park, Peter J. Lagomarsino of Saratoga Springs, NY, Dawn M. Glassberg and her husband Todd of Bridgewater, NJ. Devoted grandfather to Cheyenne, Taylor and Dylan. Treasured brother to the late Thomas Adamowicz (2012), and Arlene Hooper and her husband Ronald.
Family will receive friends on Sunday June 14, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, New Jersey. Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Monday June 15, 2015 at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, New Jersey. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, New Jersey.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Stephen's memory may be made to Paramus Fire Company #3 198 W Midland Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652 Arcola United Methodist Church 56 S. Paramus Road Paramus, NJ 07652.

Just would like to share how much I enjoyed knowing Steve, while we served together as electricians on board the Yosemite. We had a lot of good times, that I will never forget.

Hi,
My condolences. I served with Steve on the Yosemite. We were friends, I remember going out with him in his 63 Chevy Convertible. What a great car. I still remember that just before he got out of the Navy. I was talking to him, and I called him what I had always called him. "Adam-mouse=ski,
and he told me why do you call me that? Then he told me how it was pronounced. I thought that was so funny, that he had never said anything to me in all those years. Best of everything to you and your family.

I'm Very sorry for your loss. Have been looking to say hello. 52 years ago I may have served with him on the USS Yosemite.
1962-1964. We were the 2 Electricians on the Boat Deck while
in Kingston Jamaica. A great shipmate. Charley Verkade
