Suzanne Knapp Obituary

SAG HARBOR, N.Y. - Suzanne Hall Knapp, formerly of Ridgewood, died on April 18.

She was the daughter of Charles R. Hall and Helene (Coyle). Suzanne, her brother, parents and all three of her children graduated from Ridgewood High School. She moved from Ridgewood to Sag Harbor, N.Y. (where the family had always spent summers) in 1985 and still lived there. Suzanne was a very talented artist. She studied at Skidmore College and Arts Student League in New York. She was a member of the Ridgewood Art Association and the Parrish in Southampton. She was also involved in set design for Jamboree at Ridgewood High School, and her mother, Helene C. Hall, was the former social column writer for The Ridgewood News. Suzanne was a member of Northampton Yacht Club in Sag Harbor. She loved music, gardening, reading and crossword puzzles (New York Times).

She was predeceased by her brother Charles "Chuckie" R. Hall Jr. in 1959. She is survived by her children Mary Bryson Knapp of Sag Harbor, Nancy Knapp Klavis of Cape May and Randolph Hall Knapp (Tracie) of Newark, Ohio; grandchildren Shannon, Samantha and Kate (she was fortunate to have spent three weeks in Ohio this past Christmas with all of them); cousins Barbara Sue and Cathy Coyle of Virginia (formerly of Ridgewood). She is also survived by her former sister-in-law Joan Knapp of Midland Park, and Joan's children Paul Knapp, a Ridgewood police officer (his wife Robyn and son David), and Christopher Knapp of Altadena, Calif. (his wife Victoria and children Kendrick and Grayson).

Interment at Maryrest, Darlington in Mahwah.
