Takashi Urabe Obituary

URABE
Takashi "Tak," age 77, was born in Hiroshima, Japan. He also lived in Hawaii, Toronto, Canada and New Jersey, moving to Bergen County in 1985.
His career at Panasonic spanned 4 decades, and his role as an executive enabled him to see the world, which was one of his dreams.
He enjoyed traveling, golfing, working in the garden and spending time with his family. He leaves behind his loving wife, Sadako "Dako" Urabe, with whom he was happily married to for 49 years. He is dearly missed by their five children and ten grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life at a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Ramsey, NJ.
Arrangements were handled by the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, Ramsey, NJ.

It is with great sadness I read this week about the passing of Tak Urabe.
My deepest condolences to his family and Sadako, whom I remember well.

With the sadness, however, came wonderful memories of working with Tak at Panasonic Canada, for eight years. The last two of which I had the pleasure of being Tak's Executive Assistant. He was a kind, gentle, humble man and it was an honor to work so closely with him.

I left Panasonic and moved to Brockville, Ontario to get married. In Brockville we hosted an English Tea party for Tak and Panasonic President Lew Shoskes when they were on a business trip visiting a local dealer.

Tak was unquestionably, one of the finest individuals I've ever worked with, setting a high standard of personal and corporate conduct. He had a huge impact on my early days in corporate business.
We all worked hard but also had fun and laughter!
