I made Thor's acquaintance while working at Fortunoff's in Wayne and just managed to reconnect with him last year. While many years had past, he was still the same character I recalled from the past. I even managed to help him find irony in the seriousness of his unfortunate situation and hear that distinctive laugh once more. We each lamented how we were now the "old guys" we had so readily deny we would become someday. It is with a heavy heart that I will continue to age and become an even older man now, but that young, handsome, intelligent, self-deprecating Rod Stewart look-a-like will continue to live on forever live on forever.
"Remember when you were young? You shown like the sun. Shine on you crazy diamond." Love you, my brother. Rest easy now.

My prayers and thoughts are with Thor's family. I was the Library Aide at Chapel Hill when Thor attended in Lincoln Park and I can picture him quite clearly with his blonde hair. He was a wonderful young boy and I, having lost my son four year's ago to brain cancer, know the battle. If I remember correctly Thor and my son Paul played soccer together in Lincoln Park. My prayers are that they find a cure for this dreaded disease that have taken so many young lives. Peggy Piccoli
