Tom Farrar Obituary
Tom Farrar, age 88, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 20, 2017. Born in Macon, "Twiggs County", GA and has resided in Paterson since 1951.
Beloved husband of the late Ester Mae Farrar (Rev.) Following his retirement from Jalen Furniture Co. in Wallington, NJ, Tom Farrar became the owner of his own business, Capital Upholstery Co. located on 21st Avenue in Paterson where he reupholstered furniture until he became ill. He was a very active, long-time member and senior Deacon in his church, Faith Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C. now known as the Gilmore Tabernacle Look & Live Ministry. Deacon Farrar leaves behind eight children, Jacqueline Jones (Joseph), Joseph Farrar, Rev. Thomas P. Farrar (Phyllis), Gregory Farrar (Lil), Vanessa Farrar-Darden (Rev. Stanley), Dexter Farrar, Terri McMillan (Joseph), Samuel Farrar (LaTonya), Fifteen Grandchildren, Five Great-Grandchildren, , Two Brothers, Two Sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other spiritual/chosen/neighborhood children, neighbors supporters, relatives, friends, and his beloved church family. The family of Deacon Tom Farrar will welcome guests at the Gilmore Tabernacle Church 68 Haledon Avenue (Bishop Clarence Blvd.), Paterson, on Sunday, July 30, 2017 3-5pm which will be followed by a worship celebration service beginning at 5:00pm. Interment at Fairlawn Memorial Cemetery, Fairlawn, NJ Monday, July 31, 2017. Professional Services Provided by: The Carnie P.
