Dear Marty,
Our time with Vi was so short but it only took a few minutes to realise that she was a wonderful woman; so caring, so compassionate, so warm, a beautiful and nurturing wife and an amazing host for our visit. You two were an amazing team and we just pray that you have the strength to go on alone. You have both given so much - take some of our strength and go strongly into the future Marty.
Rest in peace Vi.
Love and best wishes from Bruce, Chris, Clare, Ben and Vi Campbell.

At Vi's memorial service, people said so many nice things about all of the wonderful things Vi did for her community and the numerous organizations she served so well and the many people whose lives she touched along the way. Vi conducted her personal and professional life with style, strength, wisdom and kindness.
I have known Vi and Marty since I was a toddler and moved into the house across the street. Vi liked to share a story about how I used to knock on their door and ask her if Marty could come out and play. When I was a little older, Vi taught me to knit and sew; she was really talented and a very patient teacher. They used to have me over for dinner and take me to a lot of places, especially during the summers. These activities and trips were all part of the “summer festival”; Marty coined the phrase. Vi was part of my life for more than 50 years. I will miss her and remember her fondly. Vi and Marty are the only people allowed to call me “Clair-ee”. :)

Dear Marty,
Vi was a beautiful person that gave all of herself to every organization she belonged to.
I will never forget her kindness, generosity, laugh and gorgeous smile.
My deepest sympathy Marty may she now pass into our hearts for our eternity.
With love,
Anne Wolfe

A simple bus ride in a tropical place, started a friendship that has lasted nearly 40 years. How do you find the words to say how you feel about someone. I wish I could be there with Marty, but so very far away. I guess simply put, I love you Violet... have done for nearly all my life... Thank you for being such a wonderful friend throughout the years..... Yours as always, Pauli xx ( Currently Australia, from New Zealand. )
