Walter Drelich Obituary

DRELICH - Walter, 74, of Florence, SC died Sunday afternoon August 31, 2003 in Florence Hospital after an illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11 AM Thursday, September 4, 2003 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Florence National Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Mr. Drelich was born in Clifton, NJ a son of the late Jon and Carolyn Sudol Drelich. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict and was a member of the D.A.V. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Letter Carrier after 34 years. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Florence and had also been a member of the St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Clifton, NJ for 40 years. He is preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Raywood Drelich of Florence; three sons, Steven Drelich of Clifton, NJ, George Drelich of Florence and Peter Drelich of North Brunswick, NJ; a daughter, Lorraine Rose of Hamilton Township, NJ; three grandchildren and three sisters. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home with the family receiving friends until 9 PM.
