LYNN
Deacon Walter F., 89, on September 17, 2013 of Teaneck. Born in Vienna, Austria. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine. Devoted father of Helen and her husband Joe Henline; Christine and Stephen Lynn. Dear brother in law of Pat Brunkhorst and Bea Peterman. Loving uncle of Mark and Jan, Michael and Christl, Bea and Glenn, Linda and Gary, Rick and Marcey, Roger and Diane, Bob and Debbie Ann and great-uncle of Katie, Jonathan, Michelle and Makoto, Clara, David, Trevor, Andy and Cindy, Lindsey, Morgan, Scott, Cara and Ariella. Before retiring in 2002 he owned Lynn Art Offset, NY for 34 years. Walter was a deacon and parishioner at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Bogota. He volunteered his ministry at Hackensack University Medical Center for 5 years. He was an Army Veteran of WWII; a Vienna Cub Scout; member of the Swedish Ski Club of NJ; member and marathoner with Team In Training, LLS; and a member of the Vermont Local Berry Union # 12. The family will receive friends at Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisade Avenue, Bogota on Sunday from 3-8 PM. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's R.C. Church on Monday at 10:30 AM. Interment Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the NJ Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 14 Commerce Drive, Suite 301, Cranford, NJ 07016 or National Kidney Foundation, 30 E 33rd St #3, New York, NY 10016 would be appreciated.

In Thanksgiving for the Blessings the Lord bestowed on Walter & Gerry Lynn and their wonderful & talented
Children Helen,Christine & Steve. Walter's Parents Ollie &Leonard Lynn were Gracious & Artistic Dear Friends
of our Parents Alma&Henry Gieffers and all theFamily.My sister, Margherita Gieffers Guttmann,86 went to the Lord on February 8th, 2020 in Washington,DC.
Now they are all with the Lord and can once again Rejoice together.

Our lives were blessed to know Walter. His caring, kind light hearted manner was so appreciated. He was a true friend to our beloved father. I am certain they are having a grand time together in heaven.

Our Family friendship with the Lynn's began with Walter's
Dear Parents Ollie and Leonard in the early 1950's.
We shared a loving, joyful, artistic and intellectual Bond for many years.
Even as children, we always looked forward to each Sunday
that the Lynn's would come for dinner to our parent's home in Hackensack, N.J.

We had the pleasure of meeting Deacon Walter Lynn in 2012 at the Boston Marathon where he came with his daughter Christine to support our daughter Amy's run. He was a lovely,caring man with a positive outlook who will be greatly missed.
