Walter YAKIMOWICZ Obituary
Walter, 92, of Rutherford on June, 1 2015. Beloved husband of the late Maureen (nee Benz). Loving father to Kim and Tracy, caring grandfather to William Rigano, Charles Dimitui, Lindsey Noonan and Max Noonan. Dear brother to Chester Yakimowicz and Theodore Yakin. Walter also leaves behind his faithful dog, Luna, and cat, Crystal. Walter was an operator/owner for L&W Repair Company in Rutherford, retiring in 1998. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was also a member of the Hillside S.A.C. and the VFW in Wallington. He was a former member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Passaic. Walter was an avid golfer and played at Overpeck Park for over 50 years. Funeral Service Thursday 11 AM at Kamienski Funeral Home 106 Locust Avenue Wallington, Interment Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Donations to Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors 3033 Wilson Blvd. Suite 630, Arlington, VA would be appreciated.

I am very sorry for your loss. I will always remember going to his shop and helping him by pumping gas for him when he was busy. It was my one of my first jobs as a kid. He was a joy to be around.
