Zane P. Telischak

Zane P. Telischak, of Bradenton passed away Wednesday August 22, 2018 at the age of 70; he was born May 15, 1948 in Grabow Poland.

His family immigrated to this Country when Zane was 16 years old and no-one could have loved, or appreciated his new Country more than Zane.

Having spent most of his life in New Jersey he moved with his wife to Florida following his retirement. Zane received his BS in Biology from Central Michigan University, and then achieved his MS in Biology at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.Following his graduation from college, Zane began his career at Hoffmann-La Roche, and after having worked there for twenty three years, ended his career at Roche in the capacity of a Senior Clinical Scientist working on Clinical Trials for new drug studies. The studies included drugs for Cancer, Diabetes, Alzheimer's, and AIDS. After leaving Roche Zane went into private consulting with varies, Pharmaceutical companies including Novartis, Celgene and a Cardiac group in New York City. Zane loved quiet time to read, reflect and listen to his favorite Classical music. Walks on the beach to pick up shells and sea glass on the Gulf were also one of his favorites. Zane's legacy will be his goodness, sympathy and empathy to all living things. He endured diversities with both grace and style, always making time to assist anyone who might need a hand. He cared for his wife for two years during her battle with cancer, and would simply remark, that it was "my pleasure." Zane was a good man.

He is survived by loving Wife Francine Du Bois - Telischak, mother Anna Telischak, and sisters Luba (John) Rembis, Mary (Edward) Zolcinski, and Julie Telischak, nephew Chris (Jen) Zolcinski, John (Kim) Rembis, niece Karen (Erik) Bole. He is preceded in death by his father Simon Telischak. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Cancer Society.
