Staci Schmaus Obituary

Staci Ann Schmaus, 58, of Estherville, IA passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 in her home surrounded by loved ones. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake, IA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in the Lake View Cemetery in Spirit Lake. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Online condolences may be left at www.spiritlakefuneralhome.com Staci Ann Schmaus was born on June 1, 1967, to Larry and Julie (Russell) Stammer in Spirit Lake, IA. She graduated from Annandale High School and furthered her education at St. Cloud State University. She was united in marriage to Anthony Schmaus on March 17, 2001. Staci was a welder for many years working for Polaris in Spirit Lake. Most recently, she drove school bus for the Estherville School District. In her free time she enjoyed making new friends, tending to her flower/vegetable gardens, bird watching, family game nights, praying, reading, playing her tenor saxophone, dancing and listening to music, traveling and seeing the world with loved ones, and cooking delicious meals. She is survived by her father Larry Stammer of Spirit Lake, IA; husband Anthony Schmaus of Estherville, IA; children Brennan Everett Nyren of Cedar Falls, IA; Abrianna Ann (Royce) Coakley of Estherville, IA; and Alyssa Lorraine Schmaus of Estherville, IA; brother Benjamin Louis Stammer of Spirit Lake, IA; and her sister Andra Christine (Walt) Heldenbrand of Sioux Falls, SD. She was preceded in death by her birth mother Julie Stammer, mother Laima Stammer and her brother Scott Louis Stammer.
