Emily G. Collins, 61, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away on Oct. 31, 2024, at CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice.
She was born in Napoleon on Sept. 6, 1963, to the late John and Graceanne (Honeck) Reese. On May 20, 1989, she married Jack Collins at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Napoleon.
Emily's love for horses led her to attend Midway University to purse equine studies. She enjoyed showing horses as well as trail riding.
Emily had a fondness for animals, she had many pets and served on the Humane Society Board. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by her family.
Emily is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jack; sons, Benton (Katie) and Dalton (Claire); grandchildren, Annora, Joella and Cooper; and sister, Sarah (Chris) Luzny.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Reese.
Friends and family will be received at the Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, from 2-6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Grand Rapids, on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, at 11 a.m., with an hour of visitation prior to services. Interment will be private at Glenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Catholic School, Filling Home of Mercy or the Harry Hughes Equestrian Center.
