John William Brown III, 63, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025.
He was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia to the late John Jr. and Elsie (Adams) Brown. On February 26, 1988, John married Beverly K. Smith in Toledo, Ohio.
John was a lifelong truck driver and self-proclaimed weekend mechanic where he enjoyed working on cars. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle in his free time. John loved to go to his grandchildren's sports events and would video them to enjoy later.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Cody Brown, John Brown IV, and Heidi (Marwan) Salloum; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and siblings, Phoebe (Rob) Reynolds, Lisa Brown, Sue (Terry) Bender and Elsie Crego. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his siblings, Gloria "Jeanie" (Larry) Foster, Wanda (Larry) Neace, and Linda (Ronnie) Clark; and brother-in-law, Mark Crego.
Friends and family will be received at the Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM with an hour of visitation prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Online condolences and messages may be shared with the family at rodenbergergray.com.
