Vilma J. Aguiar
Vilma Jean Aguiar, a vibrant spirit, who touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 21.
She was born in Bombay, India, and had a long career in both the private and public sector. Known for her warmth and social nature, she connected easily with people. This is evident in the large number of friends and family across the world.
Vilma attended St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Napoleon, Ohio. She volunteered at Henry County Hospital and enjoyed spending time at the Henry County Senior Center.
Vilma is survived by her three children and their spouses, Corina (David) Smith, Vinona (Aaron) Bennett and Sunil (Noela) Aguiar. She took great pride in her nine grandchildren, Sarah (Christian), Samuel, Silas, Priya, Abigail, Hannah, Aidan, Esther, and Elijah, and great-grandchild, Rachel. She is also survived by her sister and three brothers, and many nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandma, and great-grandma. She sacrificed a lot to raise her three children, and also always made special occasions fun.
Vilma was a devoted friend and family member, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
There will be a viewing for Vilma on Thursday, Sept. 26 at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, Ohio, from 3-7 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, Sept. 27 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, Napoleon, Ohio. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
