William "Bill" Louis Witte, 66, of Malinta, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
He was born on Oct. 7, 1958, in Napoleon, Ohio, to the late Louis and Mary Alice (Freytag) Witte.
Bill was an avid Detroit Tigers baseball fan and would never miss a game. In his younger years, Bill was a cross-country runner and was involved in dartball and Men's softball leagues through Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler.
He also held various agricultural positions, filled in for USPS as a route driver, drove transportation for Genacross Lutheran Services, as well as drove school buses for Patrick Henry and Napoleon High Schools.
Bill is survived by his siblings, Helen Witte, Joan (John) VonDeylen, Dave Witte, Linda (Gary) Kadesch and Sandra (Edward) Updike; five nieces and five nephews; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Donna Witte.
Friends and family will be received at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 3-7 p.m. Services for Bill will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler, at 11 a.m., with an hour of visitation prior to services. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made out to CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center or Henry County Relay For Life.
