Abaynesh (Abby) A. May 2020
Abaynesh (Abby) May passed away unexpectedly in Plainfield, CT on Thursday December 3, 2020. Abby was born on May 26, 2005 in Ethiopia and came to join the May family of Dayville, CT in 2007.
Abby was an honor student attending classes at Ellis Technical High School for hair dressing and cosmetology. She became class president in her freshman year and spent the summer working an internship. Abby enjoyed long walks, cooking dinner for family, and was an avid reader. Abby was very artistic and loved to take photos, paint, sketch, and write poetry. Abby had a smile that would light up a room and an energy for experiencing everything in life. She had a wit and a kindness that will be missed by all!
Abby is survived by her parents Robert and Nicole, siblings Caitlin, Kyle and Cassandra, her maternal aunt and uncle Laurel and Walter Robbins, their children Alexis and Zachary, maternal grandparents Paul and Diane Brown, paternal grandfather Robert May Sr., brother in law Derek and Warren, and niece Karrisa. Also surviving are her many aunts and uncles, Alan, Kim, Daune, Ken, Paul, Sherry, Amy and many cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal grandmother Susan May.
Funeral services will be held privately.
Abby enjoyed giving to others especially during the holiday season and would raise monies for charities and donations for young children, families and animals. She enjoyed raising funds to provide livestock to families in Africa. Contributions in Abby's name can be made to one of her favorite charities World Vision at https://www.worldvision.org or a charity of your choosing in her honor and spirit of giving to others.
