Annette Polanski Obituary

Annette (Lizotte) Polanski 1921 - 2016 Bangor, ME- Annette (Lizotte) Polanski, 94 formerly of Maple Street, Dayville, Connecticut, died Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Maine Veterans Home, in Bangor. She was the loving wife of Joseph Polanski for 68 years until his death in 2014. Born in Putnam, Connecticut, in 1921, (with her identical twin Lucille), Annette was the daughter of the late Isaac and Maria (Robillard) Lizotte. Annette worked as a hair stylist in her own beauty shop for over 40 years. She was an active member of the Business Professional Women's Club in Danielson for many years. Annette loved the beach, sitting outside in the sun, enjoyed reading mystery and suspense novels, and her flower garden. Annette enjoyed family visits over the years, watching her grandkids mature, decorating her house according to season and sending celebration cards to family and friends. Annette and Joe enjoyed music and dancing and dinner dates with their special circle of friends over the years. Annette is survived by her children, Susan Manocchio and husband Fred of Bangor, Maine, Stanley Polanski and wife Mary of Franklin, North Carolina, Anne-Marie Polanski of Portland, Maine, Jane Creagan and husband Tim of Silver Spring, Maryland; 5 grandchildren, Raven Manocchio of Durham, North Carolina, Lily Polanski of Jackson, Wyoming, Molly Bracknell of Lexington, Kentucky, and Colin and William Creagan of Silver Spring, Maryland; sister Pauline Cotnoir of Wilmington, Delaware, loving nieces and nephews, and special friends, Madeline and Germaine Soquet and Georgette Pappas of Danielson, Connecticut. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Hope Hospice; 1344 Main St, Eddington, ME. 04428, http://www.newhopehospice.org/donate/ A mass of Christian burial will be held in the spring. A separate announcement will be posted with the date and time.

I will never forget the 'miracle' hairstyles and cuts that Annette gave me when I was in junior and senior high school. (I graduated in 1965.). I extend my heartfelt sympathies to each in her family upon her passing. I hope your fondest memories will provide solace in this time of grief and sorrow.

Such a sweet lady- Still think of the Palanskis every time I drive by their homestead on Maple street. Glad I was able to assist these good people a few times over the years. Had the opportunity to meet with Susan
during the move north and if she's a reflection of the rest of the family, your folks did a good job raising all of you. God bless all of you during this sad yet glorious moment in your lives.
