I have been blessed to know, work and play with Artie for past 30 years. There is no one else like him that I have ever met. He had great morals and a love of life that guided him along and lured others to his circle. Kim and I will always cherish the time we all have had and will never forget. A man like Artie, his life will go on forever.

My dear friend Donna,
Words cannot express my feelings for your loss. Artie was a great friend.
There are moments in life when you wish you could bring someone down from Heaven...and spend the day with them just one more time, give them one more hug, kiss them goodbye or hear their voice again. One more chance to say I love you. In rememberance of Artie and our loved ones who are no longer here.....they may be gone, but will never be forgotten.

We (Bob and Edna Groover) knew 'Art" vaguely but it was a nice experience meeting him. God bless his wife Donna during this time of sorrow and the rest of his large family with peace and comfort. As it says in Ecclesiastes 3:1, 2; "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: (2) a time to be born and a time to die". Rest in peace 'Art', you will be missed.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Arthur Joseph Manseau, Jr. our “Brother-in-Arms”. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Art. And to Art it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during Operation Enduring Freedom while serving in the U.S. Army National Guard. Art, you are a true patriot, who served with honor and distinction. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,211 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Art's family and loved ones.

Donna, my darling buddy, I wish to rewrite the class prophesy, PCA '72. Under your name it would say, "Most Likely to Live a Fairy Tale Existence". Of all of us, you found Prince Charming who would slay dragons to be at your side, fight battles on foreign soil so the rest of us could live in peace, declare each day a happy one, open his beloved arms to friends near and far, new and old, and do it with such grace and quiet joy. He emanated beauty.

You are so right, if we were "reading it" we knew that he was one of a kind, gentle, funny, attentive, generous, and above all loving. He was our gift and you were the one who gave him to us.

Thank you, my friend, for sharing your prize possession with me. Thank you Artie, for giving my beloved friend the ultimate gift. Your love. God, please remember he likes the after Mass donut and trivia question.

I will remember Artie on every Pink Moon God allows me, and whenever a sunny day at sea turns dark and foreboding, and every day in between and be grateful I had the chance to fall in love with him.
