Brian James Kennedy 1943 - 2021
Forney, TX - Mr. Brian James Kennedy passed away from natural causes with his wife of 53 years, Irene, by his side on August 21, 2021. Brian was born in May 1943 in Brooklyn, NY the son of James and E. Marion Kennedy.
Brian is survived by his wife Irene Kennedy (LaBelle), his son Kevin Kennedy and wife Cynthia, his daughter Colleen Kennedy Harrigan and his seven grandchildren.
After high school, he attended the U.S. Coast Guard Academy for a year before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served from 1963 to 1966 as an electrician rising to rank of Corporal.
Brian attended the UCONN earning a BS in Civil Engineering. He worked as an engineer before starting his third career as an attorney.
He graduated from the University of Houston in 1980 with his Doctorate of Juris Prudence. Brian spent his legal career in Putnam, CT where he served the town as a leader in local politics and the VFW. His final years were spent in Texas with his wife Irene.
