Charles Ihloff Obituary
CANTERBURY - Charles W. Ihloff, 90, formerly of South Canterbury Road passed away Friday morning at Three Rivers Health Care in Norwich.
He was born February 22, 1927 in Jewett City son to the late Frederick and Elizabeth (Biereg) Ihloff. In February, 2000 he was married to Theresa A. (Hlastava) Ihloff in Taftville. She predeceased him in 2016.
Charles worked for many years as a crane operator in the construction field. He was a member of Local 478 Crane Operators in Hartford.
He is survived by his four children John Ihloff, Charles Ihloff, Jane Giacalone and Debra Kirby. He is also survived by his five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 1:00-3:00PM at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT. A graveside gathering will follow for the family. For online condolences please go to www.gagnepiechowski.com
