Clifford M. Halstead II

Clifford M. Halstead II February 8, 1953 - December 13, 2013 Plainfield - Clifford M. Halstead II 60, of Plainfield died December 13, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Joliet, IL on February 8, 1953 the son of Clifford M. Halstead I of Cerritos, CA and the late Dorothy (Leta) Halstead. He was a 1971 graduate from Neff High School in CA. Cliff was employed most of his life as a carpenter having worked at the Austin Corp. in CA. After moving to CT he worked at A-Z Corp. in Ledyeard and was last employed at Electric Boat in Groton. He loved NASCAR and dragracing. Cliff cherised the time he spent with his son in CA when he raced. Cliff always had a smile on his Face and was a kind person and good friend. Besides his father he is survived by his loving partner of 26 years Robin Daigneault of Plainfield; one son, Michael Halstead of Fontana, CA; Two brothers, Philip Halstead of Placaentia, CA. and Les Halstead of Limirada, CA; two sisters, Carol Halstead Johnson of Cerritos, CA and Evelyn Halstead Danskin of Placaentia, CA; three grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son Chad Halstead. A celebration of his life will be held Monday January 13th from 5-10 P.M. at the V.F.W. Post 10004 in Griswold. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CT Chapter American Liver Foundation, 127 Washington Ave., 2nd floor North Haven, CT 06473. Guillot Funeral Home, 75 South B. St., Taftville is in charge of arrangements.
